Tony Trundle is a musician originally from Newry, Co Down. Tony lived in Manchester for twenty years and has recently moved to Kinvara, Co Galway. He is a songwriter and fiddle player working in different genres. His unique singing style has many influences, from Tom Waits and Van Morrison to Baba Maal and Len Graham. His understated fiddle playing covers many genres from Irish traditional and country to rock and roll.

As well as playing his own material as a solo performer, Tony also works in a trio called LongNote and with the band The Lonesome and Penniless Cowboys. LongNote are an Irish traditional group with David Lim on uilleann pipes and Paul Callick on guitar. The Lonesome and Penniless Cowboys are a Hank Williams inspired band with Cajun influences that have been performing for many years.

He has also written music for theatre and is much in demand as a session musician and studio engineer.

Tony's album "Use Your Fork" is not a lesson in modern manners, but a collection of songs written over a two year period.

Tony describes these songs as snapshots of characters and situations, kind of short stories. Order the CD now.
